By Thomas J. Sullivan– It’s time once again to “Tip A Cop” and help support Special Olympics in Northern California.
Officers and administrative staff of the Citrus Heights Police Department, as well as county law enforcement personnel, will serve as dinner hosts and waiters on Wednesday, May 15, at the Elephant Bar Restaurant at 6063 Sunrise Blvd., from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.
“Our department is proud to support Special Olympics every year, and everyone in the department, including the Chief, joins in,” said Larissa Wasilevsky, a community services officer with the police department.
Dinner reservations are not required, but are recommended for best seating, according to restaurant management.
“We appreciate the generosity of everyone in our Citrus Heights community who turns out to support this worthy cause each and every year,” Wasilevsky said. All tips will be donated to Special Olympics Northern California.
The Elephant Bar Restaurant is known for its fusion of Pan-Asian cuisine as well as its travel-themed décor. The restaurant specializes in globally-inspired dishes and traditional, American fare.
