Texas Roadhouse: over $10k raised at Citrus Heights restaurant for O’Sullivan
An updated total on funds raised during a June 26-27 fundraiser at Texas Roadhouse in Citrus Heights has been released, with a restaurant spokesman telling The Sentinel that diners helped raise over $10,000 to support Sacramento Police Officer Tara O’Sullivan, who was killed last month.
Citrus Heights police arrest suspect who pointed weapon at people
Police said a suspect was arrested after pointing what appeared to be a pistol at several people around 10 a.m. Saturday. The suspect, whose name was not listed in a statement by police on social media, was also driving with a suspended license and had an arrest warrant. (See Facebook post)
Former Citrus Heights doctor passes away
Dr. Libby Rubin Marks passed away on June 24 at age 95, according to her obituary published in The Sacramento Bee. She operated a general practice office along with her son on Auburn Boulevard near Twin Oaks Avenue from 1989 to 2000, when she retired. (See full obituary)
Suspect arrested after taking police bait
Citrus Heights police said Monday that a suspect was arrested after stealing bait in the area of Auburn Boulevard and Antelope Road. The suspect, a resident of Citrus Heights identified as “Mr. Breland,” reportedly attempted to flee the area “at a high rate of speed,” but was subsequently arrested. (See Facebook post)
