Businesses at the end of January are continuing to hire amid the coronavirus pandemic, with some ramping up for an expected boost in spring-season shopping.
From restaurants, to thrift shops, to fast food, businesses all around Citrus Heights are hiring. Here are eight businesses confirmed to be hiring, as of Jan. 27:
Green Acres. The plant nursery is hiring for most positions at its soon-to-be-completed Citrus Heights location on San Juan Avenue. An online application says the company is looking for hardworking individuals who can “multi-task like crazy and who are ready to work in a fast-paced and intensely busy Spring environment.” (See application)
Texas Roadhouse. Located on Sunrise Boulevard near Greenback Lane, the restaurant is looking for a dishwasher that can operate the dish machine, set up and organize the dish rack, and periodically change the water. The position offers full or part-time scheduling flexibility, casual dress, and a 30% discount when dining as a guest. (See application)
Jamba Juice. Located in the Birdcage shopping center, the smoothie shop is looking to hire a part-time team member to assist in making drinks and provide an “engaging and high energy” experience for customers. Applicants must be at least 16 years of age and have reliable transportation. (See Application)
Habit Burger Grill. The restaurant is looking for a kitchen crew member for their Citrus Heights location. Hiring both part-time and full-time, cooks will be asked to accurately and quickly make meals, along with having a friendly, hardworking attitude. The job includes “constant training and advancement, with pay raises.” Prior experience as a cook, grill cook, line cook, or prep cook, is desirable. (See Application)
Lowe’s. Located at 7840 Greenback Ln., the store is currently hiring an overnight receiver and stocker. The job requires applicants to unload merchandise and stock it in correct departments, as well as keep the back room organized. The applicant must be able to lift a minimum of 25 pounds without assistance, have flexible hours, and endure prolonged sitting or standing. (See Application)
Dollar Tree. The store is hiring a sales floor associate at its 7840 Macy Plaza Drive location. A sales floor associate handles sales transactions, assisting in the merchandising of the store, protecting company assets, and more. Applicants must have general math skills, integrity, honesty, and verbal communication skills. (See Application)
Goodwill. A sign outside the Goodwill thrift shop invites applicants to apply for a job at the Citrus Heights location at Sylvan Corners. An online application says team member pay starts at $13 per hour, and employees must stock and present merchandise, maintain cleanliness of the sales floor, and provide quality customer service. Applicants must be at least 18 years old, effectively communicate in English, and handle items up to 50 lbs. (See Application)
Red Robin. The restaurant, located in the Birdcage Heights area, is looking for a line cook that will learn Red Robin’s style of food preparation, including grilling, broiling, frying, and more. Employees enjoy flexible work schedules, discounts for the restaurant’s food, and referral bonuses. (See Application)
