The Sunrise MarketPlace is hosting a Back To School block party this Saturday, with free games and activities.
According to an event flyer, the activities will be located inside the Sunrise Mall. Kids of all ages are welcomed to enjoy free activities including giant checkers, a rock wall, cornhole, photo booth and more. The MarketPlace is also offering free back to school photos.
The first 200 participants to complete 6 out of 12 games can redeem their activity sheet for a $10 merchant gift card. Activity sheets will be located near the Macy’s women’s store.
While attendees will not be required to wear a mask, all staff will be wearing them, according to Sunrise MarketPlace Executive Director Kathilynn Carpenter.
The Marketplace is also partnering with the Farmers Market to provide additional activities for families joining the event.
Citrus Heights HART will be present to to participate and provide information about its Underground Clothing Connection store, Carpenter said. The San Juan Unified School District will also be providing information about the upcoming school year.
The upcoming July 24 event will be held from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Carpenter said the MarketPlace is also planning upcoming events for Halloween and other holiday events.
