Citrus Heights PD assist in locating stolen smoker
Roseville police on Wednesday said a distinctive egg-shaped BBQ/smoker was returned by officers to Nixtaco Mexican Kitchen after the suspect was arrested and helped detectives locate the stolen item. The Citrus Heights Police Department was credited with assisting in the arrest. (See post)
New city manager sworn in
City Manager Ashley Feeney was officially sworn in during the Feb. 10 City Council meeting, taking an oath of office in person at City Hall while council members attended virtually via Zoom. Feeney replaces Christopher Boyd as the new top executive in the city.
Free COVID-19 vaccine clinic set for Feb. 16
Free vaccines for COVID-19 will be offered at a walk-in clinic at the Community Center on Feb. 16, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. In an announcement posted on the city’s website, officials said shots available will include first, second and booster doses of the Moderna and Pfizer vaccines. $50 gift cards will also be given to anyone receiving their first or second vaccine. Citrus Heights launches $320k small business recovery grant
The City of Citrus Heights last week announced details of its new Small Business COVID-19 Recovery Grant Program, offering grants from $2,000 to $15,000 for businesses who lost revenue during the pandemic. The application period will be open for 30 days, beginning Feb. 24. The program utilizes $320,000 in funds through the American Rescue Plan Act. (See more)
