Sentinel staff report–
Tickets are currently on sale for an upcoming cornhole tournament fundraiser benefiting the Citrus Heights Police Activities League.
The tournament will be held on Friday, Feb. 18, from 6-9 p.m. at the Citrus Heights Community Center. Tickets run $50 per team, and includes food, according to an Eventbrite listing.
A silent auction, raffle and other games will also be featured during the event. Those interested in only watching the tournament can attend for free, according to the listing.
The tournament was first held in Citrus Heights in March of 2020, but was not held last year. Tickets can be purchased online through Eventbrite.
The Citrus Heights Police Activities League was founded in 2010 as a nonprofit charitable organization with the goal of “building positive relationships” between law enforcement youth. Activities organized by the League have included outdoor sports, hiking trips, and museum tours, as well as annual fundraisers to help cover costs.
