Sentinel staff report–
Promising an evening of craft beer tastings, live music, food trucks and backyard games, the Sunrise MarketPlace on Thursday announced its “Brews in the Burbs” event will return to the Sunrise Mall parking lot in May this year.
The event was first held in 2019 and intended to become an annual happening, but those plans were put on hold due to the pandemic beginning the following year. The 2022 event is slated for Saturday, May 21, from 5-8 p.m., with admission one hour early for VIP ticket holders.
Tickets run $45 for general admission, and $70 for VIP tickets. A special “designated driver” ticket is also available for $25, for those not consuming alcohol. Tickets include unlimited beer tastings with a souvenir 4-ounce mug.
According to Sunrise MarketPlace’s website, vendors confirmed to be on site this year include At Ease Brewing Company, along with Jackrabbit, River City and Strad Meadery, Darkheart, and Big Sexy Brewing Company. Live music will be provided by the Sacramento-based cover band Thunder Cover.
More information and ticket purchase is available at sunrisemarketplace.com/brewsintheburbs.
