CHPD assists in prostitution ring bust
The Citrus Heights Police Department is credited with assisting in the arrest of a pair of suspects accused of operating a prostitution ring at two brothels in Sacramento and Placer Counties, the California Attorney General’s office announced Wednesday. The location of the brothels was not specified. (See news release)
Invasive snake spotted in Citrus Heights
CBS 13 reported last week that an invasive Mexican King Snake was recorded on video in Citrus Heights and is now being quarantined. The report said the snake is not venomous, but wildlife experts are concerned about its impact to the local ecosystem. (See video)
Local restaurant vandalism featured on CBS 13
Following a report from The Sentinel on Thursday regarding vandalism to windows at Fukumi Ramen on Sunrise Boulevard, CBS 13 featured an interview with a restaurant representative on Friday, as well as an interview with Mountain Mike’s pizza. The pizza restaurant was targeted with vandalism last month. (See video)
