An Oct. 1 deadline is approaching for customers of the the Citrus Heights Water District to apply for a position on the district’s Customer Advisory Committee.
According to a Sept. 20 news release from the district, the committee offers residents, business community members, and public agency representatives an opportunity to actively engage with CHWD’s operations and provide valuable input on a wide array of water district projects and initiatives. Ray Riehle, CHWD Board President, expressed the district’s commitment to customer collaboration and highlighted that former committee member David Wheaton now serves on the district’s Board of Directors.
The committee comprises of up to 13 residents from various backgrounds and neighborhoods within CHWD’s service area, along with appointees from the business community and other public agencies.
The Customer Advisory Committee previously worked with the district to make a recommendation on funding the replacement of aging water mains, called Project 2030.
Committee members serve up to three-year terms and receive $50 compensation for each meeting attended, according to the news release. Responsibilities include in-person meetings, facility tours, reviewing agendas, offering input on programs and policies, and sharing district updates with the community.
Applications must be submitted by Oct. 1, 2023. More information and an online application can be found at chwd.org/cac.
