Humle Beer House is the latest business in Citrus Heights to open up, bringing 22 craft brews on tap to an area the owners called a “dead zone” for craft beer.
Co-owners Brandon Scott and Owen Roswald embarked on their first entrepreneurial endeavor together, opening the taproom on Dec. 19. The two grew up as childhood friends, and live in the Sacramento area.
The menu includes nearly two dozen craft brews, with local, national and international options. Non-alcoholic options are also served, but no food is offered.
“We’re beer guys, not chef’s,” Roswald told The Sentinel, noting the pair wanted to avoid the additional overhead and difficulties associated with running a full restaurant. However, the owners said customers are welcome to bring in their own food from neighboring restaurants like Haya Sushi, Little Caesar’s.
Beers offered are posted on Humle Beer House’s listing on untappd.com, along with ratings for each. Seating is available inside at bar stools or tables, and a gated outdoor patio in the front is also available. A sign posted outside says customers must be 21 or older to enter the premises.
Humle Beer House is located at 7086 Auburn Blvd., suite 100, in a location formerly home to a frozen yogurt shop. Current hours of operation are 2-9 p.m., Monday-Friday, 2-10 p.m. on Fridays, 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Saturdays and 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Sundays.
Roswald said the business will be closed Christmas Day, but will have regular hours on New Year’s Day.
