By Lorraine Pendlebury, Citrus Heights–
I am against allowing these businesses and the element they might attract and bring to our city. Citrus Heights is already dealing with a bad homelessness problem. I’m convinced more homeless will come to our city to buy weed, beg on corners, steal, wander around high on the streets, takeover parks and playgrounds, and drive high, making life more awful and unsafe for its residents.
Sacramento is close enough for the folks who need medical marijuana, and it can also be bought online. Can’t we find a healthier way of bringing more money into the city’s coffers, like more farmer’s markets, or a special event venue with maybe sports competitions, live theater, Farm to Fork dinners, etc.? Thank you for reading this.
