Police arrested 23-year-old Kenneth Wade in Cincinnati, Ohio on Monday on suspicion of murdering a Sacramento woman in Oak Park.
The woman, identified as 23-year-old Roneisha Howell, was found dead inside of an apartment in Oak Park on April 14, according to local news reports. The suspicious death prompted a homicide investigation from the Sacramento Police Department, and an arrest warrant was obtained for Wade in connection with the investigation.
Officers responded to reports of a suspicious death around 7 p.m. on April 14 in the 3300 block of W Street after the Sacramento Fire Department contacted police regarding a deceased woman found in an apartment. Family later identified the woman and have been pleading for justice since her death, reports say.
Court records show Wade was booked into Hamilton County Jail in Ohio. Sacramento police said he is expected to be transported to California and booked into Sacramento County Main Jail, but Sacramento County Jail records show he has yet to be transferred. Sacramento police confirmed Wade was from Citrus Heights.
