A vehicle later discovered to be stolen crashed through the front of a small business in Citrus Heights in the early hours of Monday morning.
The business owner of Empire Liquor and three other men were seen installing a new doorway to the business on Monday afternoon following the early morning break-in. The men told The Sentinel a vehicle crashed through the front entrance, damaging the doorway and glass windows, causing at least $20,000 in damages, according to the owner’s estimate.
The small liquor store, located near Rosso Dress for Less on Greenback Lane, sells snacks and drinks, beer and liquor.
Citrus Heights Police said four individuals were seen on camera by the business owner exiting the vehicle and stealing merchandise from the store after the initial crash through the entrance. The suspects have not been located, authorities said. The vehicle was reported stolen later on on Monday.
