Midterm Primary: Latest local election results

Voters went to the poles Tuesday, June 2 to cast their votes for multiple races across the county and state of California. Below are local election results specifically impacting or relating to Citrus Heights, as well as voting results from other county and state-wide elections.

United States Senate District 6: Incumbent and Republican Roger Neillo is running against two other democratic candidates and currently leads in the polls by 59 percent with over 96,000 votes. Democrat Sean Frame sits in second.

Congressional District 4: Local resident and businessman Ray Riehle is running for Congress as a Republican and currently sits in second place with almost 25,000 votes, behind Democrat Mike Thompson who has over 40,000 votes.

The top two candidates who receive the most votes will move on to the November election, regardless of party affiliation.

Congressional District 6: (representing Citrus Heights) This district shifted a few points to the right due to redistricting, although still favors Democrats. Kevin Kiley left the GOP and became an independent in hopes of succeeding in this district. So far, Kiley is leading with 28,362 of the votes, with Republican Michael Stansfield in second.

The top two candidates who receive the most votes will move on to the November election, regardless of party affiliation.

Assembly District 7 (representing Citrus Heights) Incumbent and Republican Josh Hoover currently leads with 33,512 followed by Democrat Amy Slavansky, who has 27,111 votes.

Election results will change throughout the ballot counting period as vote-by-mail ballots, provisional ballots (including conditional voter registration provisional ballots), and other ballots are tallied.

Results will be certified by July 10, 2026.
