Sentinel staff report–
An 83-year-old man was killed Sunday evening in a collision on Interstate 80 near Antelope Road, according to records from the Sacramento County Coroner’s Office.
Records show the incident occurred around 6:10 p.m. on Dec. 19, with the deceased man identified as Mykola Khmelchenko.
A Citrus Heights police lieutenant said he was aware of the incident, but referred questions to the California Highway Patrol. A request sent to CHP on Wednesday was not returned by press time Thursday.
CBS Sacramento reported the incident occurred in the eastbound lanes of Interstate 80, but said it was unclear what led up to the collision.
