A two-car collision on Antelope Road at Daly Avenue on the border of Citrus Heights left one vehicle sitting on top of another Monday afternoon.

Two white vehicles collided on Monday afternoon, Feb. 16 just after 1 p.m., multiple photos show. Photos shared with The Sentinel show one white sedan with severe front-end damage, with another white convertible positioned on top of the sedan at an angle in the middle of the intersection at Antelope Road and Daly Avenue. The convertible also has visible severe rear- end damage.

California Highway Patrol incident logs show CHP officers handled the collision. Antelope Road east of Daly Avenue is within Citrus Heights, while Antelope Road west of Daly Avenue is located in Sacramento County.

Minor injuries were reported, with one party transported to the hospital, CHP officials said Tuesday. Both vehicles were towed from the scene.

No arrests were made following the incident, officials said. Officers were on scene for roughly two hours, with temporary traffic controls in place while they worked to clear the vehicles and debris from the intersection.

The incident is still under investigation, and no cause has been determined.
