After having relocated to a smaller space in the Grand Oaks shopping center last May, a discount shop appears to have permanently closed, vacating its suite.

The Discount Store officially opened at a new, smaller location in May 2025, from the larger building in the Citrus Town Center once home to Smart and Final.

The company also announced their new move on social media in August 2025. No other posts have been made on their social media account since then. The Sentinel attempted to reach out to a representative of the company but did not hear back.

But a recent visit to the location found the store dark and vacant, with its large “Discount” signs removed from the windows and the Camp Transformation Center signage still present.

A phone call to a number listed for The Discount Store company leads instead to a company called Microtools, who said they do not know why the phone number continues to be associated with The Discount Store. The company also said The Discount Store closed two years ago.

A phone call to another phone number associated with the physical store address continually returns no answer and appears to not have been set up completely. An email sent to a support email listed for the company was returned to sender.

The Discount Store took over the space formerly held by The Camp Transformation Center, a unique gym specifically focused on clients seeking trainers to help guide them in their fitness and nutrition goals.

But throughout their stay, the store did not remove any Camp Transformation Center signage, and the camp’s logo and colors still remain on the front facade and front windows of the suite.

Inside, multiple posters with The Camp logos and gym information still hang on the red walls throughout the interior. Employees with the discount store said last year that staff had been in discussion with the property owner about refreshing the interior with new paint and getting rid of the old signage.

The gym opened in October 2022 and closed sometime in 2024, employees with the discount store said. Online business review site Yelp also indicates The Camp closed, but no date was specified. The last review was posted in February 2023. According to the gym’s website, The Camp has 21 transformation centers in California.
