As part of a sweeping nationwide closure of all stores, a Citrus Heights retailer that sells scrubs, lab coats, and other clothing for medical and healthcare professionals is expected to close permanently.
Scrubs & Beyond, located on Greenback Lane in Citrus Heights, is slated to close along with all other retail locations, according to its website. The company further says that stores will be offering shutdown sale discounts of 20 to 40 percent.
No official explanation was provided by its parent company, Scottsdale, Arizona-based Kindthread. The company’s e-commerce website remains open for digital orders.
Kindthread acquired and relaunched the Scrubs & Beyond brand and stores in 2022, according to the Post Bulletin newspaper.
Scrubs & Beyond became the largest retailer of healthcare apparel and accessories in the country and has been in operation for 20 years, the company’s website states.
Scrubs & Beyond operates over 100 physical locations in 30 states. Its customer service line was disconnected as of last week.
Final closing dates for each store location have not been finalized or released to the public.
