A new nail lounge, which was hoping to open over the summer, has finally entered the final stages of construction, and anticipates opening this month, the salon owner said Friday.
Rose Nail Lounge, which is currently still undergoing construction, will take over the space previously occupied by specialty coffee shop, Black Sails Coffee.
“Unfortunately, we’ve experienced some unexpected challenges and construction delays that have pushed our timeline back further than we originally anticipated,” Rose Nail Lounge owner Vinh Nguyen said in an email, adding some “good news”; that the salon is expected to open sometime in November.
With a focus on providing a luxurious experience, the salon will offer a range of services, from manicures and pedicures to rejuvenating beauty treatments, all designed to leave clients feeling pampered and refreshed.
The space is being designed to create an upscale, tranquil atmosphere where guests can “escape the demands of daily life and indulge in a moment of self-care,” Nguyen said in an interview last spring, adding that the lounge hopes to create a welcoming environment.
Last week, interior construction was still ongoing, with dividing walls already painted in a pale pink within the space. A welcome banner with the message, “COMING SOON” hangs in front of the building, which has already had permanent signage affixed to the top for several months.
Previously, the suite was home to Black Sails Coffee Lounge, an independent brewing coffee company that operated as a tenant on a temporary lease from July through December 2025.
Rose Nail Lounge will join several new nail salons that have opened or are planning to open in Citrus Heights, including Gateway Nails and Spa, in Copperwood Square shopping center, Luxury Nail Spa, in the Sunrise Village shopping center, and My Salon Suite, which is still in process of opening.
Rose Nail Lounge will be located at 5925 Birdcage Centre Ln.
