Sentinel staff report–
Promising to bring 10 days of rides and amusement to Citrus Heights, an annual Fall Carnival is scheduled to set up in the Sunrise Mall parking lot from Oct. 26 through Nov. 4.
New this year will be a 130-foot-tall “Star Tower” ride, which will offer a bird’s eye view of Citrus Heights, according to Susie Rodgers, assistant general manager of Sunrise Mall. She said the ride is the “tallest portable swing ride available,” and will be featured among other attractions like a Ferris Wheel and various thrill rides, along with entertainment and ride options for younger children and families.
An event listing on the mall’s Facebook page says the carnival will be open weekdays from 4 to 10 p.m., and weekends from noon until 10 p.m., weather permitting.
Ride tickets run $30 for unlimited rides, but discounted tickets can be purchased in advance online for $20, with an additional $2 processing fee added for each ticket. Individual tickets can also be purchased separately.
Brass Ring Amusements, the Fair Oaks-based carnival company that puts on spring and fall carnivals in Citrus Heights each year, also brings its travelling “Midway of Fun” carnivals to various county fairs and events across the state. The company’s website, midwayoffun.com, says the group has been providing carnival amusement since 1991.
