Mesa Verde boys varsity basketball have had quite the tale of two seasons from non-conference play to league play.
San Juan High School boys and girls varsity basketball teams each faced Golden Sierra on Tuesday and are preparing for home games this Friday against Vacaville Christian.
The Mavericks girls varsity team was coming off of back-to-back losses to start Golden Empire League play and were hungry for their first win in league. When they faced Mira Loma High School at home on Jan. 17 they were out searching for blood.
Confidence continues to steer the Mavericks in the right direction, as they were coming off of back-to-back wins against Waterford High School, and a GEL league game against Dixon High School.
