A 21-year-old Citrus Heights woman was arrested and charged with DUI and vehicular manslaughter after the vehicle she was driving collided in a solo-vehicle crash in Folsom on April 9, according to The Sacramento Bee. A 28-year-old passenger died. (Read more)

Citrus Heights artist’s flowering ‘Prince Bush’ makes headlines again
A local artist’s mural of Prince is in bloom again and drew the attention of Fox40 and KCRA 3 over the past week. Artist Christine Stein painted the mural, which sits in her front yard with a bush behind it that serves as “hair” for the mural.
Citrus Heights parents concerned about traffic safety at Sylvan Middle School
CBS 13 featured a story on Friday interviewing a student who was hit by a car near Sylvan Middle School. The boy’s mother said the area is a dangerous place for kids walking to-and-from school. The city is currently conducting a traffic study of the area to identify potential safety improvements. (See video)
Citrus Heights Walmart store to get new ‘Pickup Tower’
The Sacramento Business Journal reported Thursday that the Walmart store on the 7000 block of Auburn Boulevard is among those slated to get a new 16-foot-tall “Pickup Tower” inside, where customers can pick up their items after placing an order online.
