Citrus Heights motorcyclist airlifted after collision
The Ukiah Daily Journal reported that a 63-year-old motorcyclist from Citrus Heights was airlifted after crashing off the roadway while traveling on Highway 101 in Mendocino County on Thursday. Impairment did not appear to be a factor. Major injuries were reported. (Read more)
CHPD assist in arresting armed robbery suspect
In a Facebook post, the Napa Police Department credited Citrus Heights police with assisting in the arrest of a 29-year-old armed robbery suspect on June 5, following a year-long investigation. (See Facebook post)
Citrus Heights woman arrested in connection with Aryan Brotherhood crime ring
Kristen Demar, 44, of Citrus Heights, was among the names of those arrested in connection with a major crime ring bust announced by the US Department of Justice on Thursday. The crime ring allegedly involved racketeering and murders being orchestrated by Aryan Brotherhood members from within California prisons. (See DOJ news release)
Obituary: Sherline L. “Sherry” Liebe (1930 – 2019)
Sherline Liebe, of Citrus Heights, passed away at age 88 on May 28, 2019. According to her online obituary, her career life included service in civilian air patrol during World War II and later working as a Pacific Telephone operator and a homemaker, before taking a position with the San Juan Unified School District in 1990.
