City saw online building permits nearly triple in 2020
The City of Citrus Heights reported last week that a total of 2,616 building permits were issued online last year, marking nearly triple the number of online permits issued the prior year. The city said staff adapted to COVID-19 in order to help facilitate more online permitting. (See more)
Thousands lose power in Citrus Heights
CBS Sacramento reported Monday that several thousand residents had lost power in the area, following an issue involving an underground cable. The station reported that the outages centered around Greenback Lane and San Juan Avenue. SMUD tweeted about the incident around 6 a.m. on Jan. 11, with an update that power had been restored shortly before 8 a.m. the same morning. (Read more)
