Citrus Heights man, 37, arrested on drug charges
Joshua Cucciardi, of Citrus Heights, was arrested just after 4 a.m. on Jan. 13 on the 900 block of Twelve Bridges Drive, in Lincoln, according to police logs published by Gold Country Media on Thursday. He was arrested for possession of methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia, and allegedly providing false identification to a peace officer.
Obituary: Robert “Uncle Bob” Stanaland (1928-2020)
Robert Stanaland, who was the first honorary mayor of Citrus Heights before the city incorporated, passed away on Dec. 19, 2020, according to an obituary published in The Sacramento Bee last week. Stanaland lived in Citrus Heights for over 60 years and served on the USS Tortuga in WWII, before working in the tile industry and serving as a tile inspector. He leaves behind his four children, along with 9 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. A future celebration of life is expected at an undetermined date this July. (See full obituary)
Citrus Heights man rescued from fiery crash
A 25-year-old man from Citrus Heights was hospitalized with major injuries after police say the BMW he was driving lost control and collided into a utility pole, where it caught fire. Bystanders aided in helping pull the driver and a passenger to safety. The driver, Zachary Coker, was later arrested on suspicion that alcohol and/or drugs were involved, according to CBS Sacramento.
