Free coronavirus, flu shots to be offered Jan. 4
Free vaccines for COVID-19 as well as the seasonal flu will be offered at a walk-in clinic at the Community Center on Jan. 4, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. In an announcement posted on the city’s website, officials said shots available will include first, second and booster doses. (Read more)
SJUSD to hold redistricting workshop
The San Juan Unified School District will hold workshops on Jan. 5 and 6 to cover the plan for redrawing the districts board of trustee election areas. The district approved new maps last year, but now has to adjust the lines to reflect the latest 2020 Census data. Workshops will be held at 6 p.m., with the event online on Wednesday and in person on Thursday at the district’s main office at 3738 Walnut Ave, in Carmichael. (Read more)
City Hall to be closed Monday, Jan. 3
Citrus Heights City Hall will be closed Monday, due to an extended New Year’s Day weekend, according to the city’s online calendar. Offices will be open again for regular business on Tuesday, January 4.
New video highlights MealPro headquarters in Citrus Heights
The City of Citrus Heights posted a new video on its Youtube channel last month with an inside look at MealPro’s headquarters on Greenback Lane. The one-minute video spotlight shows meal preparation and packaging at the site, with city leaders taking a walk through the facility. (See video)
