Heavy police activity and a circling helicopter could be seen near Sylvan Corners over the Fourth of July weekend as police conducted a high-risk stop of a stolen vehicle.
Citrus Heights Police Lt. Chad Morris told The Sentinel in an email Tuesday that officers arrested 38-year-old Shane Greer after locating a stolen vehicle as it turned into a parking lot near Gilberto’s Tacos at 7150 Auburn Blvd., on July 2.
Two individuals were in the vehicle, which had been reported stolen out of the Sacramento Police Department’s jurisdiction, Morris said. An unidentified female passenger was released from the scene.
Greer is facing charges of felony false imprisonment, felony prevent or dissuade attendance of witness by force or threat, and felony threats to commit a crime resulting in death or great bodily injury, according to Sacramento County Jail records.
