A sneak peek at July events in Citrus Heights

Events planned for July in Citrus Heights include the city’s ice cream social, two theatrical productions, a youth bowl and swim camp, library events and a Single Mom Strong mid-year kickoff event.

City Scoop. The city is hosting three monthly ice cream socials throughout the summer. The next ice cream social in the City Scoop series will take place on Thursday, July 11, at Metro Fire Station 27. For more information, visit the city’s Facebook page. Metro Fire Station 27 is located at 7474 Grand Oaks Blvd.

Theatrical productions. Royal Stage Theater is presenting two different productions in July. CLUE begins on July 11 and runs through July 14. The Little Mermaid Jr. begins July 25 and runs through July 28. Shows begin on July 25 and run through July 28. Tickets and show times vary.  To order tickets, visit their website here. The Royal Stage theater is located at 6041 Sunrise Blvd. inside the Sunrise Mall, next to Macy’s Men’s.

Lunch at the library. Sylvan Oaks Library is providing free lunch to all students under 18. Meals will be distributed from 12-1 p.m. Tuesdays through Fridays. Single Mom Strong. Single Mom Strong is hosting a mid-year kickoff event on July 20. The morning will begin at 10:30 a.m. and feature Speed Dating for Mom Friends, where moms can get to know each other. A continental breakfast will be served. Childcare will be available. Bowl & Swim Camp. Kids ages 8-13 can sign up for a youth bowl and swim camp from July 29-Aug. 2, at Fireside Lanes and Rusch Pool. The cost to enroll is $189, and seven spots remain as of June 29. See signup page here.
