Citrus Heights Police Chief Alex Turcotte administered the oath of office to several new police and code enforcement officers on Wednesday, June 25 at Citrus Heights City Hall, officially welcoming them into the Citrus Heights Police Department.
In an announcement on social media, the department shared photos of several new officers and another new staff member taking the oath of office, including new police officers Mea Alleyn, Natalie Banes, Kyle Greutert, Quentin Ledbetter, and Blake Morgan. At least one officer returned to Citrus Heights from serving in another department according to the city. New officers were also joined by new Code Enforcement Officer Jessica Sosa and Administrative Assistant: Geraldine Centinaje.
Among the other highlights of the day was the promotion of Sergeant Carrie Foote, recognized for her continued dedication and leadership. Foote now steps into her new role with ” a clear commitment to excellence and service,” the department said.
“Their oath marks not just a ceremony—but a powerful promise to our community. We’re proud to have them join (or advance within) the CHPD family,” the department wrote on social media.
With this latest round of promotions and appointments, the Citrus Heights Police Department is now maintaining a normal level of staffing, which took several years to rebuild, following layoffs amid budget constraints during the pandemic, according to Citrus Heights City Mangar Ash Feeney.
