Hosted by American Legion Post 637, the event will run from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and aims to bring the local military community together for a day of food, connection and support.
Attendees can expect a classic picnic menu featuring hot dogs, hamburgers, side dishes, desserts and drinks, all provided free of charge. In addition to food, the event will offer a variety of resources for veterans and family friendly entertainment and activities for kids.
Family fun activities include face painting by Purple Pageant Princesses, kids’ games provided by the DAR General John A. Sutter Chapter, and goodie bags from the Women’s Club.
The event is hosted in collaboration with the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) and the GFWC Citrus Heights Women’s Club.
