The City of Citrus Heights is inviting community members to roll up their sleeves and give back during its upcoming Chip-in Volunteer Day, taking place on Earth Day.
Scheduled for Wednesday morning, April 22, the volunteer event will offer hands-on opportunities for residents to help beautify public spaces while celebrating environmental stewardship. Volunteers will gather at Citrus Heights City Hall from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., where they will assist with refreshing planter areas by spreading bark and planting flowers. The effort is part of the city’s ongoing commitment to maintaining clean, vibrant, and welcoming civic spaces.
City staff will also be on hand, and all necessary tools will be provided. Participants are encouraged to wear comfortable, closed-toe shoes and bring gloves for added protection while working outdoors.
Volunteers will be treated to complimentary pizza afterwards.
Residents interested in participating can sign up through the city’s Volunteer Hub. For any questions, the General Services Department can be reached at (916) 727-4770.
