The Citrus Heights Chamber of Commerce and The Citrus Heights Sentinel are partnering together to host a Citrus Heights City Council Candidate Forum for the city’s residents.
The City Council forum will be held Tuesday, Sept. 29 from 5:30 to 7 p.m. with a meet and greet with candidates following the event. The forum will take place at Royal Stage Theater, located at 6174 Sunrise Blvd. behind Sunrise Mall, adjacent to the former Macy’s Men’s building. Doors will open at 5 p.m.
The City Council Candidate forum will feature candidates from Districts 2 and 4 and allow residents the opportunity to hear the candidates’ viewpoints as they answer questions on issues directly impacting Citrus Heights residents as well as their vision for the future of the city.
Current Vice Mayor Porsche Middleton is also running for reelection in District 5 unopposed and plans to be in attendance at the event, she says.
The candidate forum is free and open to the public. The Citrus Heights Chamber of Commerce is asking attendees to RSVP through this link to ensure that there will be enough seating available.
Citrus Heights Neighborhood Association Seven Eight Nine will also be hosting a City Council candidate forum with District 2 candidates only, in early October.
Several organizations have hosted candidate forums over the years during past elections, including the Sacramento League of Women Voters, the Citrus Heights Chamber of Commerce, the Resident Empowerment Association of Citrus Heights (REACH) and The Citrus Heights Sentinel, which hosted a forum in 2024.
