A pickup truck struck a light pole along Auburn Boulevard on Tuesday afternoon causing damage and blocking a lane of traffic.
The incident occurred about 4 p.m. near 8048 Auburn Blvd., resulting in the closure of one lane of Auburn Boulevard while crews worked to remove the damaged pole.
Witnesses at nearby Les Schwab Tire Center said the incident involved a single white pickup truck. Police said the vehicle was traveling northbound along Auburn Boulevard when the driver lost control of the pickup.
Police Lt. Chad Morris said the city’s General Services Department was contacted and responded to the scene. The incident is still under investigation, but impaired or distracted driving do not appear to be factors, Morris said.
