LETTER: Affordable housing is the only answer to homelessness

Letter by Alfred Sanchez, Citrus Heights—
Around 50 or so million dollars were supposed to open a location on Watt Avenue by the end of 2025. It’s promising 350 places to sleep, some of which means a place to sleep in your car. How can this compare to 6, 7, 8 thousand homeless living in Sacramento County? It’s obvious there is no answers to homelessness, so just pass ordinances to make it more difficult to actually be homeless. It’s a common practice in America now. Demonize a group then make laws which hurt them. AFFORDABLE HOUSING IS THE ONLY ANSWER.
