While the recent opening of Sweet Music Studio Cafe has shone a light on live music opportunities in Citrus Heights, several other local venues both old and new, also offer live music for patrons in the city. Whether you’re looking for acoustic tunes over coffee or a high-energy night out with friends, here’s a roundup of local favorites to check out.
Sweet Music Studio Cafe: Located at 8040 Greenback Ln, Suite G, the newly opened music café has gained attention for its cozy atmosphere, pairing coffee and tea, light food, and beer and wine options with live musical performances several nights a week from local musicians across genres. Just announced on its Instagram, the café is also introducing open mic nights on Thursdays and will also offer rehearsal space for local artists. Sweet Music Studio Café is open from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday, and 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Sundays. The venue is closed to the public Mondays.

DarkHeart Brewing: Located at 7110 Auburn Blvd., the new local brewing company offers a welcoming atmosphere with live musical acts on the weekends, along with weekly trivia nights, and newly introduced Karaoke events. While primarily a brew house, it’s become a hub for social gatherings and entertainment around hand-crafted beers in only one year.
DarkHeart Brewing is open from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday through Friday, Saturdays from 2 p.m. to 9 p.m. and Sundays from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. For more information, follow the brewery on Facebook.
Corner Pocket Sports Bar: Located at 7777 Sunrise Blvd, Suite 1400, this long-standing neighborhood sports bar offers pool tables, darts, big screens, regular live music on the weekends and karaoke nights on most Thursdays and Sundays, making it a fun casual spot for nights out.

Rocky’s 7440 Club: Located at 7440 Auburn Blvd., this classic local club doubles as a pub and karaoke hot spot. Inside, karaoke starts most nights after 8 p.m., and the back patio features DJs, dance floors, and fire pits, with the occasional live musical performance, making it the perfect place for those who love a high-energy environment.

Beach Hut Deli: Located at 6406 Sunrise Blvd, Suite B, the local bar and deli with a unique surfer beach theme, offers a full bar, TVs for sports watching, along with live music and karaoke on the weekends.
