A new thrift store is now open at San Juan Avenue and Greenback Lane in Citrus Heights.

The newest thrift shop, called Pacific Thrift Store, opened in the building formerly home to the 99 Cents Only Store on May 26, management said, adding that so far things are going well. The store features a wide variety of thrift items, including clothes, electronics, house wares, and a large portion of floor space dedicated to furniture.

The company’s website shows the Pacific Thrift Store was established in June 2013 in North Highlands. The store’s profits are used to support overseas missionaries and domestic missionaries, management says.

Pacific Thrift Store also organizes family and youth camps for underprivileged children and their families, with initiatives spanning across various countries, including Ukraine, Spain, and Russia, plus others.

The thrift shop also partners with multiple local agencies, including the Union Gospel Mission, the Assistance League of Placer, Chicks in Crisis, the American Cancer Society, and the Alternative Sentencing Program.

Pacific Thrift Store also has another location on Watt Avenue in Sacramento, with an online store showing home décor, furniture, clothes, appliances, and more.

The Citrus Heights location of the Pacific Thrift Store fills over 20,000 square feet of a 43,600-square-foot building, part of which also used to house Crunch Fitness. Crunch Fitness closed abruptly in the summer of 2024.

The new Pacific Thrift Store is located at 7424 Greenback Ln. and operates from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.

In 2024, all 99 Cents Only Stores shuttered across the region following the company’s bankruptcy announcement, including the Citrus Heights location at Greenback Lane and San Juan Avenue.
