A mobile home in Citrus Heights was destroyed late Wednesday night following a fire that engulfed the trailer, officials say.
Citrus Heights Police said just after 10 p.m.. Wednesday night, officers responded to reports of a mobile home on fire at the Greenback Estates mobile home park, located off Greenback Lane, and arrived to find a mobile home engulfed in flames.
Sacramento Metro Fire District crews were able to extinguish the fire, and no other homes or property were reported to have been damaged except the single home. Fire crews also found the interior of the home on fire to be clear, with no one inside, police confirmed.
Citrus Heights Police also said Thursday they have still not been able to locate or make contact with the owner of the mobile home.
The trailer is currently boarded up. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
