Police on Wednesday night arrested a suspect after locating a stolen vehicle. The Police Department posted a photo on social media the following day showing officers reuniting the vehicle with its “very happy owner.” (See tweet)

Stones Casino closes outdoor gaming area following new regional health order
Stones Gambling Hall temporarily closed its 5,000-square-foot outdoor gaming tent on Friday, following new health restrictions triggered by the Greater Sacramento region dipping under 15% ICU bed availability. The new restrictions ban casinos from operating either indoors or outdoors.

Early morning house fire sends one to hospital
CBS 13 reported Wednesday that a 3:30 a.m. house fire on Wintergreen Drive caused one person to be sent to the hospital for smoke inhalation. Firefighters said a resident had been able to put most of the blaze out using a fire extinguisher before fire crews arrived. (See CBS 13 story)
