The Citrus Heights City Council will meet Thursday evening to vote on adding four more streets to a repaving contract and hold a final public hearing regarding a renewal effort for a local business improvement district, as well as consider adoption of a new city employee pay structure, and more.
Below is a brief summary of what’s included in the City Council’s 117-page agenda packet for Aug. 12, 2021. The meeting will begin at 7 p.m. at City Hall.
Quarterly Treasurer’s Report. The council will consider routine receipt and filing of the quarterly treasurer’s report, for the quarter ending June 30, 2021. The market value of the city’s cash and investments was $34.01 million, up from $21.04 million at the end of the prior quarter. The treasurer notes that the latest totals include $7.83 million from the American Rescue Plan Act and an additional $4.61 million for motor vehicle “in lieu” fees.
$80k contract. The council will consider approving a staff recommendation to contract with R3 Consulting Services, Inc. for on-call consulting services related to compliance with new organics waste recycling requirements, imposed by California’s Senate Bill 1383. The contract is an amendment to a prior 2019 agreement with the same consulting company.
Street repaving. The City Council will vote on whether to approve the addition of four more streets to a previously approved 2021 Residential Street Resurfacing Project. The cost would increase the original cost of $1.68 million to just under $2 million.
Employee pay. The Citrus Heights City Council on Thursday will consider adopting a newly proposed compensation structure for most city staff, at an added cost of about $165,000 for the current fiscal year and an additional $91,000 next year.
