Events and activities around Citrus Heights this month include a kid-friendly event outside Sunrise Mall, performances of a musical comedy at Theatre in the Heights, a crab feed at the community center and a wellness fair at the Marketplace at Birdcage.

Boot Drive Safety Fair
The Firefighters Burn Institute is bringing back the Boot Drive Safety Fair on Saturday, Feb. 4 from 11 – 2 p.m. in the Sunrise Mall parking Lot. The event will feature fire trucks, interactive booths, Sparky the fire dog, a helicopter landing and more.

Theatre in the Heights musical comedy
Theatre in the Heights is presenting The 25th Annual Putman County Spelling Bee: By Rachel Sheinkin from Jan. 20 through Feb. 11. An eclectic group of six mid-pubescents vie for the spelling championship of a lifetime. Showtimes vary. Visit the theatre’s homepage for more information and to check ticket prices.

Kiwanis Crab Feed
The Kiwanis Club of Citrus Heights is hosting its 37th Annual Crab Feed Fundraiser on Friday, Feb. 10, from 6-10 p.m. at the Citrus Heights Community Center.  Proceeds benefit Kiwanis programs that serve the children and families of Citrus Heights and surrounding areas.

Wellness fair at Birdcage
Marketplace at Birdcage will host a Health, Wellness and Safety Event, which will take place on Saturday, Feb. 18, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. behind Jamba Juice.

Citrus Heights Women’s Club Tea Party
The Citrus Heights Women’s Club is hosting a Tea Party at the Sylvan Community Center with catered food, games, and prizes. The event was originally slated to be held on Feb. 22, but has been rescheduled to March 5 at 11 a.m.
