The Sunrise MarketPlace business district will kick off its 2025 holiday season events with a laser light show and night market on Dec. 5 in the parking lot outside the former Men’s Macy’s store at Sunrise Mall.
Activities at this year’s light show will include carnival games and a holiday magic show for children. She said organizers have also partnered with Kauai’s Night Market this year to bring craft vendors and food trucks.
The night market will be held from 4-8 p.m., and 45-minute laser light shows will start at 6 p.m. and 7 p.m., Cordell said.
New this year, kids can stop by a Letters to Santa Station and write letters to Santa. For every letter received, Sunrise MarketPlace will donate $1 to Sunrise Christian Food Ministry, a food pantry located in Citrus Heights.
Other events planned for this year in the business district include a Stranger Things Skate Party at Sunrise Rollerland on Dec. 12 and an event welcoming Santa to the Citrus Town Center on Dec. 13.
