The community is preparing for spring this March with a full plate of events, including community meetings, an Easter celebration, a potluck and dinners, a theatrical production, and local fundraisers.
Community Meetings: Citrus Heights City Hall will host two community meetings with regional officials this month, beginning with a community meeting hosted by Sacramento County Supervisor Rosario Rodriquez on Tuesday, March 3, from 5 to 6:30 p.m., announced in a letter to constituents.
Later in March, Assemblymember Josh Hoover will host a Public Safety Community Meeting on Thursday, March 19, from 6 to 7 p.m., also at City Hall. Hoover announced the meeting in a letter to constituents.
The meetings will include district updates and an opportunity for residents to share ideas and ask questions. City Hall is located at 6360 Fountain Square Drive.
Easter and Spring celebration: Citrus Town Center will host its “Bunny Bloom Bash” on Saturday, March 21, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. The free, family-friendly Easter event will feature photos with the Easter Bunny, giant flying puppets, stilt walkers, face painting and balloon twisting. Donations will be accepted, with 100% of proceeds benefiting Citrus Heights HART.

Bombs Away! history presentation: The Citrus Heights Historical Society, in partnership with Neighborhood Area 3 (CHANT), will present “Bombs Away!” on Tuesday, March 10, from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at Citrus Heights City Hall. The presentation will explore local Citrus Heights history. City Hall is located at 6360 Fountain Square Drive.
Gateway Activation meeting: A community meeting regarding the Gateway Activation Project will be held on Thursday, March 5, from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at Big Oak Mobile Home Park. Attendees will have the opportunity to hear updates about the project and provide feedback.

Safe Routes to Transit: Sacramento Regional Transit District will host a “Safe Routes to Transit” workshop on Thursday, March 5, at 5:30 p.m. at Citrus Heights City Hall. Career exploration workshop: Single Mom Strong will host its “In(to) Construction” career exploration workshop on Saturday, March 7, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. The event will offer insights into construction careers and skilled trades, along with lunch and limited childcare.

Potluck: The “A Zest for Community” potluck, hosted by R.E.A.C.H, will take place Monday, March 9, from 5:30 to 8 p.m. at the Citrus Heights Event Center. Residents are invited to gather, share food and build community connections. The event is free, but reserving your spot is highly recommended in order to ensure enough food is prepared.

Bingo Night: Foundation Chrisian Church is hosting a Bingo Night, a fundraising event raising money for the church’s MomCo, or Mom Community group. The event begins at 5 p.m. and will feature dinner, raffle prizes, and 10 rounds of bingo.

Mesa Verde Drama presents Clue: The Mesa Verde High School Drama Department will present the stage production Clue in March. The play is based on the classic board game and film and features mystery and comedy. Shows run March 5-7, and 12-14.

Elvis Live and Silent Auction: The Veterans Community Center will host “Elvis Live Entertainment and Silent Auction” at 6921 Sylvan Rd. The event is scheduled from 4 to 7 p.m. and will feature appetizers, Elvis memorabilia for auction, and a live performance by professional Elvis artist Lloyd Aron Douglas.
Proceeds support veterans services, including counseling access, workshops, benefits assistance and weekday meals at the center. Space is limited. For more information, visit the veterans community center website, or contact the center at (916) 806-4852.
