Citrus Heights band to continue with yard sale after rain delay

By Sara Beth Williams–
After postponing due to rainy weather, which delayed the ability for volunteers to set up merchandise, the Citrus Heights Community Marching Band’s annual fundraiser yard sale will continue this weekend and on into next weekend.

The event will take place at 7620 Linden Ave. in Citrus Heights and will run Friday May 15-Sunday, May 17, and Friday, May 22 – Sunday, May 24. Sale hours are set for 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Organizers are asking for residents to refrain from showing up early.

Billed as a “massive yard sale,” the fundraiser will feature a wide assortment of items including everything from tools, clothing, furniture, kitchenware, and instruments, to electronics, books, movies, music, toys, games, gardening supplies, sports and outdoor gear, décor, collectibles, baby items and linens.

The event is an opportunity for community members to find deals while directly supporting the marching band’s programs and activities.

“Every purchase helps keep our band marching,” organizers said in the event announcement.

In addition to shopping, community members are encouraged to contribute by donating items to the sale. Those interested in donating can contact organizers for more information.

The Citrus Heights Community Marching Band event is open to the public and will be held outdoors.
