Drivers traveling along Greenback Lane this week should expect delays as the city begins a roadway improvement project focused on repairing damaged curb and gutter sections.
According to an announcement from the City of Citrus Heights, work was scheduled to begin Monday, May 18, along Greenback Lane between Peoria Drive and Brookhaven Way.
City crews will be repairing curb and gutter sections that have been damaged by tree roots, with the goal of improving roadway conditions for motorists.
During construction, temporary lane closures are expected throughout the week. Officials said the far-right eastbound lane on Greenback Lane, the outermost lane, will remain closed around the clock while repairs are underway and concrete is allowed time to cure.
The lane closure is anticipated to remain in place through Friday, May 22.
Motorists are encouraged to plan ahead, use caution in the work zone, and expect possible traffic delays in the area.
