Citrus Heights police are asking for the public’s help in identifying a suspect connected to a credit card fraud case stemming from a locker theft at a local gym earlier this month.
According to police, an unknown suspect unlawfully entered Chuze Fitness, located at 5419 Sunrise Blvd., on Jan. 7, 2026. Investigators say the suspect broke into secured gym lockers inside the women’s locker room while a victim was attending a workout class. Cash and multiple credit and debit cards were allegedly stolen from the victim’s locker.
Police said one of the stolen debit cards were later used fraudulently at several locations throughout Sacramento County. At 8:06 p.m. the same day, the suspect allegedly used the card to purchase a $500 gift card at the CVS Pharmacy located at 8101 Greenback Ln. in Fair Oaks. Additional unauthorized transactions were later reported at various merchants, including an online retailer and a marijuana dispensary.
Investigators believe the same suspect may be responsible for at least two similar locker thefts at the same gym on consecutive days.
The suspect is described as a Black female adult, 30 to 35 years old, about 5 feet 6 inches tall, and weighing around 250 pounds.
A still photo released by police indicates she was wearing a maroon hooded sweatshirt, matching maroon sweatpants, and Birkenstock-style sandals. Her hair was described as straightened, parted down the middle, and styled just past shoulder length with curled or frizzed ends.
Citrus Heights police urge anyone who recognizes the suspect or has information related to the case to contact the Citrus Heights Police Department or Sacramento Valley Crime Stoppers. Tips can be submitted anonymously, and a cash reward of up to $1,000 is being offered for information that leads to an arrest.
Crime Stoppers can be reached at 916-443-HELP (4357) or 1-800-AA-CRIME, or through the P3 Tips app or website.
